Spectral Structure of Transfer Operators for Expanding Circle Maps

چکیده
We explicitly determine the spectrum of transfer operators (acting on spaces of holomorphic functions) associated to analytic expanding circle maps arising from finite Blaschke products. This is achieved by deriving a convenient natural representation of the respective adjoint operators.

Fractal Weyl law for skew extensions of expanding maps
We consider compact Lie groups extensions of expanding maps of the circle, essentially restricting to U(1) and SU(2) extensions. The central object of the paper is the associated Ruelle transfer (or pull-back) operator F̂ . Harmonic analysis yields a natural decomposition F̂ = ⊕F̂α, where α indexes the irreducible representation spaces. Using Semiclassical techniques we extend a previous result by...
متن کاملAnalytic Expanding Circle Maps with Explicit Spectra
We show that for any λ ∈ C with |λ| < 1 there exists an analytic expanding circle map such that the eigenvalues of the associated transfer operator (acting on holomorphic functions) are precisely the nonnegative powers of λ and λ. As a consequence we obtain a counterexample to a variant of a conjecture of Mayer on the reality of spectra of transfer operators.
متن کاملExponential Mixing of Torus Extensions over Expanding Maps
We study the mixing property for the skew product F : TdˆTl Ñ Td ˆ Tl given by F px, yq “ pTx, y ` τpxqq, where T : Td Ñ Td is a C8 uniformly expanding endomorphism, and the fiber map τ : Td Ñ Tl is a C8 map. We apply the semiclassical analytic approach to get the dichotomy: either F mixes exponentially fast or τ is an essential coboundary. In the former case, the Koopman operator p F of F has ...
متن کاملLimit theorems for coupled interval maps
We prove a local limit theorem for Lipschitz continuous observables on a weakly coupled lattice of piecewise expanding interval maps. The core of the paper is a proof that the spectral radii of the Fourier-transfer operators for such a system are strictly less than 1. This extends the approach of [KL06] where the ordinary transfer operator was studied.
متن کاملSpectral methods in dynamics (part 2)
This is a continuation of the last post, which were notes from the first in a series of talks at the Houston dynamics seminar on spectral methods for transfer operators as tools to establish statistical properties of dynami-cal systems. This week we apply the methods introduced last week to the example of a piecewise expanding interval map. 1 Piecewise expanding interval maps We consider maps T...
